The Asian Development Bank has expressed its commitment to assist Nepal for the country’s ‘macroeconomic stability, governance and portfolio performance’ according to Kunio Senga, Director General of the ADB’s South Asia Department.
Mr. Senga said the ADB would decide the scale of assistance taking Nepal’s performance into consideration.
During his meeting with Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal Prachanda and other senior government officials, Mr. Senga laid stress on economic reforms to address poverty and other development challenges, including higher economic growth crucial for sustained peace and stability.
Mr. Senga was on a four-day visit to Nepal. |
