Opposition party NC leader Koirala has underlined the need to promote the cause of federalism of Nepali variety as the country makes arrangements for federal structure of the state in the constitution. "We can't copy federalism from others."

Opening a workshop in Kathmandu  Koirala informed  that his party has been working hard to develop a federal structure for Nepal with guarantee for national unity and sovereignty. The structure should also fit the geographical realities of the country besides taking into consideration inclusion of all Nepalis on equal footing, he added.

He was critical of PM Prachanda for disregarding the culture of political consensus and insulting the parliamentary process of multiparty democracy.
