Mainali expelled from party for regressive advocacy

  • Dissident leaders of the leftist party CPN-Marxist Leninist have expelled their General Secretary C P Mainali from the party.

    Dissident leaders Jagat Bogati, Yedubansha Jha Birendra Thapaliya, Bishnu Aryal, Diwakar Sharma, Keshab Nepal and Nabaraj Sharma informed reporters by organizing a press conference in Kathmandu.

    The dissidents have accused Mainali of running the party as his personal enterprise while at the same time of proceeding with regressive advocacy against the progressive changes occurring in the country.

    However, Mainali has claimed that the party was his while he has already punished them instead.
